Privacy Policy (English)
Tottoki (the "App") is an iOS app that keeps your child's artwork as photos and arranges them into albums. It is developed and maintained by an individual developer (Masamichi Ueta). The developer does not collect any personal information or usage data through the App.
1. Information We Collect
The developer collects no information about you and sends no data to the developer's servers or to third parties. No account is required for the App.
2. Data the App Handles and Where It Is Stored
- Artwork photos, titles, memos, types, made-on dates, children's names, birthdays and colors, albums, and favorites are stored on your device.
- If you are signed in to iCloud, this data is also stored and synced in your own iCloud account (the CloudKit private database). It is your iCloud; the developer cannot see it.
- Settings (your display name, and whether to also save captured photos to Photos) are kept on your device as app settings.
3. Sharing with Your Partner
Sharing uses iCloud's sharing feature (CKShare). The library is shared only after you send an invitation and your partner accepts it. A shared library includes artwork photos and details, plus the "display name" of the person who added each artwork, which your partner can see. If you stop sharing, the data on your own device stays. Sharing runs through Apple's service (iCloud) and is subject to Apple's privacy policy.
4. Access to Photos and the Camera
- Photos are chosen with the standard iOS photo picker. The App is not given access to your whole photo library; only the photos you pick are passed to it.
- The camera is used only to photograph and scan artwork. Captured images are stored only on your device (and in your iCloud, as described above).
- The "Add to Photos" permission is used only to also save photos captured in the App to your own photo library (you can turn this off in Settings).
- Photo adjustments such as brightening are processed entirely on your device.
5. Exporting Your Data
"Export All Data" in Settings bundles your photos and details into one zip file. It happens only when you ask for it, and you choose where to save or send it with the iOS share sheet. The App never sends it on its own.
6. Tracking and Advertising
The App does not perform any of the following:
- User tracking as defined by App Tracking Transparency
- Analytics SDK integration
- Advertising
- Sharing data with third-party SDKs
- Network communication with the developer's servers
7. Data Deletion
- You can delete artwork and children's information inside the App at any time.
- Deleting the App removes the data on your device. Data in iCloud can be managed and deleted in iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
- The developer holds no data, so no deletion request to the developer is needed.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced on this page.
