プライバシーポリシー（日本語）
Markdown Viewer & Editor（以下「本App」）は、Masamichi Ueta（以下「開発者」）が提供する、 iPhone・iPad 向けの Markdown ビューア兼エディタです。 本Appは利用者のいかなる個人情報も収集しません。 開発者が利用者のファイルやその内容を閲覧・取得・第三者へ提供することは一切ありません。
1. 収集する情報
本Appは、利用者に関するいかなる情報も収集しません。アカウント登録は不要で、開発者が運用するサーバーは存在しません。 利用状況の解析、クラッシュログの独自収集、広告識別子（IDFA）の利用も行いません。 App Store の「App のプライバシー」欄ではデータを収集しないと申告しており、 本Appに同梱しているプライバシーマニフェストの内容と一致します。
2. 本Appが扱うファイル
本Appは、利用者が開いた Markdown ファイル（.md など）を、
そのファイルが置いてある場所のまま読み書きします。
ファイルを本Appの中に取り込んだり、複製を保管したりすることはありません。本App独自のデータベースもありません。
- ファイルの保存先は、利用者が選んだ場所（iCloud Drive、この iPhone 内、その他のファイル提供元）です。 その場所での保管や同期は、それぞれの提供元（Apple の iCloud など）の規約とプライバシーポリシーに従います
- ファイルの内容が開発者に届くことはありません。開発者に送信する仕組み自体がありません
- 本Appが触れるのは、利用者が自分で開いたファイルと、利用者が許可したフォルダの中だけです（→ 6）
3. iCloud Drive のアプリのフォルダ
本Appは、iCloud Drive に「Markdown Viewer」という名前のアプリ専用のフォルダを持ちます。
iCloud にサインインしている端末では、初回起動時に、使い方を説明した見本の書類（はじめに.md /
Getting Started.md）をこのフォルダへ 1 つ置きます。
- このフォルダは利用者自身の iCloud Drive の中にあり、Apple のアカウント保護のもとで同期されます。 開発者は内容を閲覧できません
- 同期は iOS の iCloud Drive の仕組みによるものです。本Appは CloudKit などの独自のクラウド保存を使いません
- 見本の書類は、利用者が自由に削除できます
4. ネットワーク通信
本Appが端末の外と通信するのは、次の 2 つの場合だけです。

取得した画像は、表示のために iOS の標準の仕組みで端末内に一時的に保存（キャッシュ）されることがあります。 これら以外に、本Appが自ら通信することはありません。解析・広告のための通信もありません。 なお、iCloud Drive の同期は iOS が行うもので、本Appによる通信ではありません。
5. 写真の挿入
編集中に画像を挿入する機能では、iOS 標準の写真選択画面を使います。 本Appはフォトライブラリの読み取り権限を要求しません。本Appに渡るのは、利用者が選んだ写真だけです。
- 選んだ写真は、編集中の書類と同じフォルダに画像ファイルとして保存されます。 開発者へ送信されることはなく、外部へアップロードもされません
- JPEG・PNG・GIF・WebP は元のデータのまま保存するため、撮影日時や位置情報などの付帯情報が 画像ファイルに残る場合があります（HEIC は JPEG に変換して保存するため、付帯情報は引き継がれません）。 書類と画像を他の人に渡すときは、この点にご注意ください
6. フォルダの許可
iOS は、アプリが利用者の開いていないファイルに触れないよう、開いた書類 1 つぶんの権限をアプリに渡します。 そのため本Appは、書類の隣にある画像を表示したり保存したりするために、 利用者にそのフォルダを選んでもらうことがあります。
- 許可されたフォルダへの参照（ブックマーク）は、端末内に保存されます。外部へ送信されることはありません
- 参照できるのは、利用者が明示的に選んだフォルダとその中身だけです
- 本Appを端末から削除すると、この参照も消えます
7. 端末内に保存される情報

いずれも本Appの中だけで読み書きするもので、開発者や第三者へ送信されることはありません。 本Appを端末から削除すると、これらも削除されます。
8. 収集しない情報
本Appは、以下をはじめとするいかなる情報も収集・送信しません。
- 氏名、メールアドレス、電話番号などの連絡先情報
- 開いた文書の内容、ファイル名、フォルダの構成
- 連絡先、写真、カレンダーなど端末内の他のデータ
- 位置情報（本Appは位置情報サービスを使用しません）
- 利用状況の解析データ、行動履歴
- 広告識別子（IDFA）その他の識別子
本Appには解析ツール・広告ネットワーク・トラッキング用の SDK が一切組み込まれておらず、 App Tracking Transparency の対象となる処理も行いません。
9. 第三者のコード
本Appが利用している外部のコードは、Apple が公開している swift-markdown と、 それが使う swift-cmark の 2 件だけです。 どちらも Markdown を解析するためのライブラリで、通信もデータ収集も行いません。 これらのライセンス本文は、アプリ内の「表示設定」→「オープンソースライセンス」から読めます。
10. Apple から提供される統計情報
利用者が iOS の設定で解析データの共有（「デベロッパと共有」）を有効にしている場合、 Apple から匿名化されたクラッシュレポートや利用統計が開発者に提供されることがあります。 これらの情報から開発者が個人を特定することはできません。
11. お子様のプライバシー
本Appは全年齢を対象としており（レーティング 4+）、年齢を問わず一切の個人情報を収集しません。
12. データの持ち出しと削除
利用者のファイルは、はじめから利用者自身の場所にあります。本Appを使うのをやめても、ファイルはそのまま残り、 書き出しや移行の手続きは要りません。開発者の手元には、削除すべきデータが存在しません。
本Appを端末から削除すると、端末内に保存された設定とフォルダの許可も削除されます。 「この iPhone 内」（iPad では「この iPad 内」）の「Markdown Viewer」フォルダに置いたファイルは、 アプリと一緒に削除されます。iCloud Drive やほかの場所に置いたファイルは残り、ファイル App から管理・削除できます。

本ポリシーを変更する場合は、このページを更新し、上部の最終更新日を改めます。

Privacy Policy (English)
- The developer cannot see your files. The app reads and writes them where they live, and there is no developer-operated server
- No account is required. No ads, no tracking, no analytics SDKs
- The app goes online in two cases only: to fetch an image a document points at by URL, and to open a link you tap
Markdown Viewer & Editor (the “App”) is a Markdown reader and light editor for iPhone and iPad, provided by Masamichi Ueta (the “Developer”). The App does not collect any personal information. The Developer cannot see, obtain, or share your files or their contents with anyone.
1. Information collected
The App collects no information about you. No account is required, and there is no server run by the Developer. There is no usage analytics, no crash reporting of its own, and no use of the advertising identifier (IDFA). The App's App Store privacy entry declares that no data is collected, matching the privacy manifest bundled with the App.
2. The files the App works with
The App reads and writes the Markdown files you open (.md and related extensions)
where they already live. It never imports them, keeps no copy, and has no database of its own.
- Your files stay wherever you keep them — iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or any other file provider. How they are stored and synced there is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy (Apple's iCloud, for example)
- The contents of your files never reach the Developer. There is no mechanism that would send them
- The App touches only the file you opened and the folders you granted it (see 6)
3. The app's folder in iCloud Drive
The App has a folder of its own in iCloud Drive, named “Markdown Viewer”. On a device signed in to iCloud, the
first launch places one sample document there (Getting Started.md, or はじめに.md in Japanese)
explaining how the app works.
- That folder is inside your own iCloud Drive and syncs under your Apple Account's protection. The Developer cannot read it
- Syncing is done by iOS and iCloud Drive. The App uses no cloud storage of its own, and no CloudKit
- The sample document is yours to delete
4. Network use
Traffic leaves your device in two cases only.

A fetched image may be cached temporarily on your device by the standard iOS mechanism. Apart from the two cases above, the App initiates no network traffic of any kind, for analytics, advertising, or anything else. iCloud Drive syncing is performed by iOS, not by the App.
5. Inserting a photo
Inserting an image while editing goes through the standard iOS photo picker. The App never requests read access to your photo library, and receives only the photo you pick.
- The photo is saved as a file in the same folder as the document you are editing. It is never sent to the Developer or uploaded anywhere
- JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP are saved as they are, so metadata such as capture date and location may remain in the saved file (HEIC is converted to JPEG, which drops that metadata). Keep this in mind when you pass a document and its images to someone else
6. Folder access
So that apps cannot reach files you have not opened, iOS hands over permission for that one document and nothing else in the folder. To show or save an image next to your document, the App may therefore ask you to pick that folder yourself.
- The reference to a granted folder (a bookmark) is stored on your device and never transmitted
- It covers only the folder you chose and its contents
- Deleting the App removes those references
7. What is stored on your device

All of this is read and written by the App alone and never sent to the Developer or anyone else. Deleting the App removes it.
8. What the App does not collect
The App does not collect or transmit any of the following:
- Contact information such as name, email address, or phone number
- The contents of your documents, their file names, or your folder structure
- Contacts, photos, calendars, or any other data on your device
- Location (the App does not use location services)
- Usage analytics or behavioural history
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or any other identifier
The App contains no analytics tools, no advertising networks, and no tracking SDKs, and performs nothing that falls under App Tracking Transparency.
9. Third-party code
The only third-party code in the App is swift-markdown, published by Apple, and swift-cmark, which it depends on. Both are Markdown parsers; neither performs network requests nor collects data. Their licenses can be read in the app under Display → Open Source Licenses.
10. Statistics provided by Apple
If you have enabled sharing analytics with developers in iOS settings, Apple may provide the Developer with anonymised crash reports and usage statistics. The Developer cannot identify individuals from this information.
11. Children's privacy
The App is rated 4+ and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
12. Taking your data with you, and deleting it
Your files are already in your own storage. Stop using the App and they stay exactly where they are — there is nothing to export and no migration to perform. The Developer holds no data of yours to delete.
Deleting the App removes the settings and folder grants stored on your device. Files kept in the “Markdown Viewer” folder under On My iPhone (or On My iPad) are deleted along with the App. Files in iCloud Drive and elsewhere remain, and can be managed or deleted in the Files app.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, this page is updated and the “Last updated” date at the top is revised.
